Coronavirus Update
The Coronavirus, COVID-19, has spread quickly to over 100 countries, infecting hundreds of thousands of people, causing fatalities, restricting travel, closing businesses and educational facilities, putting stresses on our health care providers and straining supply chains. We are closely monitoring the spread and remain focused on the safety and well-being of our employees and our ability to maintain high quality service and stability to our clients.
Precautionary Measures
We have implemented guidance for all employees on minimizing the risk of infection through social distancing, cough etiquette, proper and frequent hand washing, no face, mouth, nose and eyes touching, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and the use of hand sanitizer. Employees who have been potentially exposed, regardless of where or how are asked to advise the company immediately and to seek medical screening. Employees experiencing persistent cough or sneezing, fever or shortness of breath or breathing difficulties are mandated to work remotely and not enter our facilities or our customer’s facilities for at least 14 days.
TSBA has increased the frequency at which its offices are cleaned and sanitized, especially the communal areas and high touch surfaces including doorknobs, push bars, phones, computers, water coolers, keypads and filing cabinet handles. Employees are also provided with disposable paper cups, plates and utensils.
We are minimizing face-to-face meetings by encouraging the use of remote desktop tools, especially in customer’s sites with heightened concerns such as in nursing homes.
As part of our disaster preparedness, we routinely have our employees work from home. A number of our technical and support managers work full time remotely and are located outside of the NY metropolitan area. This ensures that key staff are not clustered in a single area.
TSBA has all its pertinent operations running in the cloud as well as all backup files. This ensures our customers will have readily available backups for their building management systems, enabling us to restore services remotely, regardless of the disaster.
TSBA maintains a 24/7 service line for emergency calls as well as personnel who will be scheduled to be on call during a shutdown.
We are coordinating with our suppliers and exploring alternative sources should the need arise. We are closely monitoring our warehouse inventory levels, increasing quantities on key components. We will continue to monitor the developments of the Coronavirus and adjusts our preparedness as necessary. We thank you for the trust and confidence you place in us and we are doing everything we can to prevent any disruption to your business operations and the service we perform.
Sincerely ,
Management
